Action Plan
The Giglets Action Plan template is designed to help your school implement Giglets effectively, supporting literacy and language goals while boosting engagement and learning outcomes. Drawing on the Education Endowment Foundation’s ‘A School’s Guide to Implementation’, this tool provides a clear structure for setting goals, assigning responsibilities, and tracking progress.
Use the tips below to get started, tailor the plan to your school, and celebrate your journey with Giglets.
5 Top Tips for Implementation
Familiarise yourself with the action plan: Start by reading through the action plan to get to know its structure, purpose, and how it supports your goals.
Appoint your Giglets Lead(s): Having a named lead provides clear direction, supports consistency, and helps keep implementation on track. It also gives staff a go-to person for guidance, troubleshooting, and sharing best practice. Together you can tailor the action plan to fit your setting.
Training and professional development: Arrange training to ensure teachers understand the features, functionalities, and benefits of Giglets, and how it aligns with the school's literacy goals. We have a number of resources to support you in the 'Getting Started' section.
Celebrate achievements: Recognise and celebrate milestones and achievements throughout the implementation process. Acknowledge the hard work of teachers, students, and staff, and highlight the positive impact of Giglets on learning outcomes.
Review and feedback: Maintain a review process where teachers, learners, and other stakeholders can provide input on their experiences with Giglets. Use this feedback to make improvements to the implementation process.
