Pupil Highlighting
Highlighting or text marking when reading is an important skill to practise. It allows a pupil to interact with a text and can be a good indicator of comprehension and understanding. Many teachers encourage highlighting in paper-based passages, and pupils can highlight Giglets texts too.
Prompts for Highlighting

you agree or disagree with;

utilise various verb tenses (present, past, future)
follow spelling rules or patterns (e.g. doubling the last letter when adding -ing, changing 'y' to 'ies' for plural);

you knew already;
identify different parts of speech (nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, pronouns, connectives);
are speech;
say something positive or negative about the character;
